Ella made Lily a cute birthday card
Tried to do a bow in Lilys hair, it kind of worked
Pet star fish for the kids to take home
Clam cookies with pearls
Cupcakes! First time i've made buttercream icing. It turned out pretty good
We bought these gummy fish at the candy store in the mall. I wanted to make these cute fish skewers I saw on pintrest, but the cost of the fish would have made them like $5 a skewer and there were 15 kids! Yikes! So Joe made up a game where he strung them on strings and then blindfolded the kid and had the other kids give them instructions on how to get to the fish, then they had to try and eat it blindfolded off the string. It was pretty funny to watch!
Blue popcorn thank yous
Prizes! We had mermaid bubble rings, candy rings, candy bracelets and star fish necklaces.
I decided at 10 the night before the party that I wanted to have necklaces for the kids. I found a salt dough recipe that said you could dry it in the microwave instead of baking it for 3+ hours. It said 3 min then 30 seconds at a time. Awesome sounds easy enough! I checked it when it started smelling funny and it was turning black and smoking! After I threw that batch out the door, I just did 30 seconds at a time. That worked much better and they turned out realy cute!
