Moving into a new house takes forever! Hopefully one day soon i'll have all the important rooms semi done and I can start organizing the laundry/craft room..its been a long time since i've done anything crafty! anyway, moving in is taking far longer then I thought it would..probably because I have two little helpers :)

Last Wednesday I went to a meet and greet that was at starbucks, it was kind of interesting but I met a few people I might hang out with. I went with one of the girls to a flea market on Friday, she is pregnant with her first. Today I went to a clothing swap with some of the same ladies. I took a ton of stuff I didn't need anymore to swap and brought home a few cute things for the girls that I didn't need :) It was fun to get together with some other ladies though. The church girls do play group on Wednesdays, I haven't made it to one yet though. I'm still trying to figure out how to get around, today I saw the sprinkler park so we might try and find our way back one of these days! For now we haven't really been going out much since i'm trying to get unpacked..

Today we went to garage sales..I really hate garage sale, but thrift stores here are kind of expensive! We have been looking for a couple of beds and thought maybe we'd find one at a yard sale, and it was a good chance to drive around our neighborhood and a few neighborhoods on post (we got really lucky with our neighborhood, the one we should be in is really nice, but very crammed together!). We found one twin bed just up the street from out house! And some bedding at another yardsale. So I guess it was a pretty sucessful outing!

Ella got this super cute dress at one yard sale, the people were moving to Germany so they were getting rid of stuff for pretty cheap..I got two matching dresses with the cute flower head bands and another dress with a horse on it for $1! Now someone just needs to get married...hmmm Mike?

We are alive..but just barely!

After 8 months of semi homelessness (thanks Mom and Beth for opening your homes to us! You Rock!) we are finally getting settled into our own house! The FedEx man brought my lovely little box today so I could get on the internet, so all unpacking/cleaning/laundry/etc. has come to a hault so I could get my fix! Ha..anyway this little update is going to be breif..very breif..just to let everyone (if anyone reads this anymore!) that we made it to Fort Hood safe and sound! Okay so this was going to be really quick, but I thought this was really funny..I made some zuchini bread the other day and I took some to the neighbors (joe is friends with the dude) and today when he came over to borrow a movie, he asked if he got all the stuff for me to make it, if I would make him more...ha, they have no kids and his wife is home all day! Maybe I should just teach her how to make some bread and she can bring me some! hehe, jk

Also I have discovered Lily is a biter! She bit Ellas finger so hard today it was almost bleeding..what do you do about that? She also talks non stop, I don't think Ella talked until much later!

New stuff for a new house..

So during Lilys naptime, (when Beth and I dont sneak out and shop) I browse craigslist! Here are some of the fun things i've gotten for our new house.

We got this couch, a desk and a night stand for $20!

These are from two of our trips out..I got three matching rugs (area, runner, and a smallish one) and the curtains. They are for the living room...the rugs were a super good deal at beths favorite store, fallas. They all rang up for about half of what they were marked! I love it when that happens! I'm still looking for a good deal on throw pillows....
New coffee and end tables..

Our last coffee table was a train table, and we haven't had end tables since before Ella was born!
I'm thinking of painting these black to match our entertainment center..but we'll see

Washer and dryer!

I got this whole bedding set for Ella for $7.00 from Walmart.. When I was living at my Moms I found a $30 gift card while cleaning..it said to Mike from Grandma..we have no mike in our family, so it was mine! ha..so using that first, it cost me $7 bucks!
