I saw a tutorial on making this cool Armillary (its the ball thing on the stand) I don't know what its for but i thought it looked kind of cool and I had everything to make it so I gave it a try..its not done yet though, i still need to find a finial to screw into the top to keep all the rings lined up, thats why it looks kind of wanky...

And if you can't tell the vase is the eiffel tower...I found it at the elks thrift store (I was pretty surprised there was a thrift store here I didn't know about until last week!) It was just clear glass and I thought it would look better white or black, so for now it is black! And I'm not sure what i'm going to do with it, so for now its a vase! I also found two vintage blue Ball canning jars there which will also probably be used as vases.

We had a little spring party with my friend Kathleen and her two kiddos..they had fun doing some crafts, decorating cupcakes and of course, an egg hunt!

And my $3 Goodwill dress! We took a trip to Eugene for my parents to buy a sleep number bed..(holy hannah those are expensive! you know when the pillow is over $100 the beds are going to be pricey! anyway..) After we did that I had the choice of Ross or Goodwill and opted for Goodwill..that store was HUGE! I really didn't know where to start! But I managed to find a few good things!

I was looking at the Crate and Barrel website and saw this mirror..our bathroom stuff is a lighthouse/beach theme and I thought this would look cool..but not for $199...

Here is my version, so far I have spent .49cents on the brass charger plate..but I still need to buy a mirror..the one in the pic is photoshopped in...

Possible change in plans...

Looks like we might end up at Fort Bliss (with my sister!) instead of Fort Hood. Joes roommate found out yesterday that he will be stationed at Fort Bliss and really didn't want to go there..so Joe offered to switch him and he seemed to like the idea..so if all goes well, we will be in El Paso!

A few weeks ago I ran into my friend ,Emilys, Mom at the store..She invited us out to her house to let the girls see her chickens, goats, and cows. So today my Dad and I took the girls to see them.

Today was such a crazy busy day..I mostly love those days just because my kids are so tired at the end of them, they fall asleep SO early..its nice..anyway our day included two trips to goodwill, one to look for a lamp shade for the lamp I bought there awhile ago..I found a few for a $1, but I don't really like either of them, so i'm still on the look out for one...but as I was leaving I saw this really cool chair. I had an appointment in like 5 min, so I put Lily in the car and moved my car closer to the outside stuff so I could go look at it..I just hopped out and ran over, but I thought it was a little too pricey..i took a picture and sent it to Joe and called and asked what he thought, of course he tells me just to buy it, he wants me to have whatever i want, so that wasnt going to work, so I hung up and called my Mom..she was going to drive by when she went to get the mail and look at it..I decided just to leave not buying it...i went to my appointment and then picked ella up at school, then we did lunch with my Mom and I was still thinking of that darn chair! So when lunch was over I loaded the girls in the car and off to goodwill we went. again i parked close enough to leave the girls in the car. I asked the worker dude if he would lower the price and he said not until a few weeks after its been out..I didn't figure it would be there that long..so I just sat there in the chair..then Kathleen called me, and I told her what i was doing, she laughed at me and told me to just buy it, so I did! Thats what good friends are for! haha, So i bought my chair! Isn't she pretty! I love it!!

We're Moving to...

Last week we found out we are moving to Texas! I put it on my facebook, but thought I may as well put it on here while I have a second. We will be stationed at Fort Hood. Its about 2.5 hours from Dallas and 1.5 hours to Austin..3.5 hours to Houston and 2.5 hours to San Antonio...I see lots of fun weekend trips in our future! I love that it is pretty central to all the bigger cities! Oh and its also about 8.5 hours from my Sister, so that will be fun to get to visit her sometimes too! Joes report date is July 28th and they usually give them 10 days to get moved so he should be home around the 18th and then we'll be headed to Texas!

Just a funny side note, Ella will totally fit in in Texas, she has the cutest little twang on a lot of her words...like she says hotel, 'hoe tale'

First here is my cute Lily in her new dress..Ella looked very cute today too but unfortunately I didn't get a picture of her :(

We did a lot of cooking this afternoon...

And the Monkey Bread was even better! We had left over cream cheese so I made a glaze to go on top...oh my it was good! We won't be making either of these again soon or my pants wont fit!

I got both of these for FREE today! Well sorta free..I bought the twine ($1.00) for the ball, but I found the ball in my parents garage and then I spent a LOT of time covering the ball with the twine..and the ginormous jack was purchased with $$ I got from returning a sports bra my Grandma didn't want and said I could have the $$ if I returned said bra..I was really hoping it would be a lady working returns today, but of course it wasn't, but I really wanted the jack so I just returned the ginormous bra to get my ginormous jack!

First off, thanks to the stomach flu, I had a jump start in weight loss...5lbs down 15 to go! ha

Lily this morning...this girl is either going to love shopping or hate it when she is older. She gets to go with me while Ella is at school. Its much easier to just take one! Even if it is the more difficult of the two!

After we did easter baskets we watched the morning conference session, then headed off to pick up Taylor for the afternoon. First stop was out to Woahink where my Mom braved the rain to get a couple pictures of a rally that was going on..I stayed in the car with the girls! Then we went to Freddies..they were having a couple Easter activities..Bunny ear making and a cake walk, sadly we didn't win a cake :( ha After a quick lunch at McDs we came home to play with the easter stuff the girls got..now everyone is winding down, Lily is napping and Tay and Ella are watching New Moon..ha great movie for little girls eh? Ella loves when the boys change into the dogs.
