Bluebonnets

My friend Vanessa lives out in the country and has a field of bluebonnets! We went out Saturday and Sunday to take some pictures. Most of these are the ones I took, I need to save the ones she took to my computer. I did save my favorites that she took and played with them on photoshop :)

 

My kids did NOT want to take pictures. They were so happy to be at Zander and Masons house that they just wanted to run and play! They just got a new playground that the kids kept running off too. We were really lucky to get a few good ones. I took over 300 pictures!!

Crafts for our ward service auction. This is my favorite enrichment activity of the year. So much fun!

I made a similar craft for last years, and it was a hit. So I made another one this year. They are SO easy!

It started off gray, but I didn't like it so it went red

 I made this one first, and sent a picture to my friend and she decided she needed it, so I gave it to her and made the second one.

 mini muffin tin sugar cookies. I also made peanut butter ones. Yum!

 I may or may not have let the girls eat an entire pack of red vines for after school snack because I felt bad about taking their dog back to the animal shelter :)

 Ellas weather project

 We've had some weird weather the past few weeks. One day I was wearing shorts and the next I needed to pull out a winter coat!

 Everything I clean the couches, within one or two days someone has done something to mess them up! This time Jack took a green marker and drew all over the couch :\  Thankfully i've found that a huggies wet wipe gets the marker out..now it just has some water marks which REALLY irritate me..we really need a leather couch

 Ella had a family science night at school, there were lots of animals to look at, some crafts to do and volcano eruptions

 We got the kids a dog..I have never been more thankful for allergies! This dog makes my nose itch like CRAZY!! Even with taking my allergy meds everyday (usually I only take them when the pollen is bad). We even bought a new vacuum (YAY! it works so amazing!!) to see if that would help, but it doesn't. So she will be finding a new home soon. She doesn't really like the kids, so its probably for the best anyway. It mostly likes me (and I dont like it) and Joe (who is never home). It really just hides in her kennel all day. It came from the pound and is sick. I think its kennel cough, but I dont really know much about dogs. It makes this awful wheezing noise all the time, it sounds like the zombies from the walking dead.

 On Sunday I went to a fashion show/dress expo put on by the USO. It was originally for teens to get dresses for prom, but they had so many extra dresses they opened it up to military spouses. My friend Dana went with me. Her neighbors daughter was there with her dad, so we had fun helping her find her perfect dress! When they opened it up to the military spouses, all of the long dresses in my size were gone :(  I tried to get my friend to pick one out, but she didn't find any she likes. So I ened up with this...

 Its pretty, but VERY short. I think i'll try and turn it into a mermaid skirt for the girls. Or we might do mermaids for halloween and i can make it my costume..we'll see.  They also gave us some jewelry and a purse. I got this bracelet that I love! and I gave the purse to Dana. It was a fun day!

 Jack gets SO mad when anyone sits in his chair! He always drags me over to show me that the dog is sitting in HIS spot :)

 Pretty girl! This dress has been worn by cousin Taylor, Ella and now Lily

 Jack is such a silly boy. He LOVES shoes. I keep them in baskets on the top shelf of what used to be his changing table. He will climb up there and find the shoes he wants. These are a little small for him so I tried to put on some other shoes. He will kick his feet and scream until you put on the ones HE wants to wear.

 I told Jack to say cheeeeese! and he rolled his eyes at me and stuck out his tounge!
