The girls woke up this morning...grumpy. Super grumpy. I still got them all ready for church, but when Lily was still crying I decided I probably couldn't handle them at church, and Ella said her tummy hurt...
Lily in her cute pumpkin jumper with pumpkin socks super sad
And super sad Ella

So we did a little lesson at home. Joe was in charge..the lesson title was, I am thankful for fish (from lds.org, must have been in a nursery section!)..haha. So we had a little lesson and then the girls painted fish and ate fish crackers
I was bummed because I actually liked my oufit for church today! Oh well, maybe i'll just wear it next week! My new sweater was 1.25, brand new with tags from banana republic. Its a wrap sweater and i'm not sure exactly you are suppose to tie it, but I thought it was cute..
We had SOO many trick or treaters tonight..our candy lasted about 15 min!
Ella loved giving out the candy to the kids, and Lily loved getting as much as she could from the candy bucket and putting it in her bucket, maybe thats why it didn't last very long :)

Hallelujah Fest and Harker Heights Halloween Hoopla

This afternoon we took the girls to the Hallelujah Fest on post. They had free horse riding so we decided to check it out. They had lots of bounce houses, painting pumpkins, food, crafts..all sorts of fun stuff, and the best part was there were hardly any lines!
Ella on a horse!
Getting a unicorn painted on her face
Then we hurried home and got ready for the Harker Heights halloween party. It was complete opposite of the party on post..tons of people and long lines! We stayed long enough to get a goody bag and play one fishing game and then we headed home. Of course I can't go to Harker Heights and not eat at Panda Express, so that was our halloween dinner :)
Cute Snow White

and a Halloween Fairy?

Thanks to my friend April who took a picture of us :)
And now Halloween is over and i'm really tired!

Fall Festival

I was babysitting for a friend again today and didn't feel like making dinner so we got a $5 pizza and used halloween cookie cutters to make fun shapes.
Ella had cat pizza
and Lily had a pumpkin..well really Lily grabbed any she could reach and stuffed it in her mouth like this...
After dinner we went to the Fall Festival (again) :)

Guess what they (Ella) decided to be this time??

Little Mermaid and Sabastian!
Lilys costume is a 3-6 month size..haha
They had a costume contest, which was really more of a wear a costume and get a prize contest,
Ella was really excited to get a unicorn (she gets mad if you call it a horse)One lady kept trying to take a picture of them and Ella wanted nothing to do with it. If she saw her she would run and hide behind me! ha
Such a pretty mermaid! she didn't even want me to take pictures!
Two more parties tomorrow and we're done!

Halloween Dinner..a few days early :)

Joe beat me to the tv, so I can't watch old episodes of Buffy the Vampire slayer..so I figured I might as well blog :) I'm really done with Halloween..after our trunk or treat I was all ready to put away the decorations and go to the after halloween sales! We still have 3 parties to go.. :/
Halloween dinner with the Sisters On the menu we had:
Mozzarella Mummy Meatloaf

Swamp juice and macaroni creatures
And jars full of teeth, eyeballs, and worms

After dinner we got the girls ready to go to a Halloween party on post. Once we got there I thought it was just for that certain battalion so I felt really out of place and we left! haha..Poor Ella was so sad. When we got home I looked it up again and it was just being put on by the battalion for everyone, so we will go again tomorrow :)

Halloween dinner stuff

We are feeding the Sister Missionaries on Thursday so I decided to do a Halloween theme dinner! I should just wait and post after, but oh well...here are some of the fun things i've been working on for decorations. The decoration i'm excited about takes a newspaper, and of course I have to wait until thursday morning for the paper!
Spoooky candy jars Black crepe paper roses..
i'm seriously thinking about making these in yellow or pink to just have on my table all the time, they are super cute and won't die and stink like real flowers!

These have nothing to do with the dinner at all, but I made them today too. Mini "dirt" cupcakes for our Halloween playgroup tomorrow. I tried out my dessert decorator pro I got a few years ago for Christmas, I like the fancy look..I just need a lot more practice :)

Our Halloween Day

Our ward Halloween party was tonight..it kind of snuck up on me and we were rushing around all day trying to get everything done in time! The girls (ella thought it was gross and wanted nothing to do with it) and Joe carved the pumpkin while I made the foods I signed up to bring (next time i'm not signing up for so much! ha)

Lily thought it was pretty fun...

Until it got on her arm!

The finished pumpkin..a horse!

Glenda the Good Witch

Our Wizard of Oz family!
