We've been lucky to get lots of yummy goodies from friends and neighbors this christmas!..my friend brought over a plate today and it had these cute cherry chocolate mice that Ella loved!

Lily has a lot of hair, well compared to what Ella had at this age and what Ella has now, Lily has a lot of hair. I honestly don't know what to do with it. Lilys hair always looks like a rats nest, I comb it and comb it but she always messes with the back and it ends up this big clump of mess. I bought some detangler today so fingers crossed that works. Or it needs to grow just a little longer so we can put it all in a ponytail...Pretty sure bald babies are easier :)

But she sure is a cutie!

Santa came early this year since the girls and I are leaving early (way too early) Friday morning for Oregon..this is the first time we've done any sort of Christmas morning at our own house with just us. Growing up I remember opening presents and then just handing them off to someone to open up the box and then moving on to the next present and so on and so on..well Joe is used to opening one thing, then playing with that for awhile, and then opening something else...pretty sure the girls are more like me :) maybe when they are older that might work, but Ella just wanted to rip everything open! Lily didn't want to open anything, but then she still wasn't feeling good....

Stockings.
Ella asked Santa for 3 things, A white dog, a white cat, and a white honey bird..

Santa had no clue what a white honey bird was..luckily these passed :)

Ella was SO excited about every little thing in her stocking..probably more excited for the little candy and trinkets then the real presents! ha

If you cant tell, that is a giant ring she is holding..its a napkin ring..she saw it at hobby lobby and LOVED it..she was so surprised to find it in her stocking, ha

After we had opened most of the presents, Lily and I took a nap and Ella played and watched her new barbie movie..and Joe was helping our neighbor move this swingset into our backyard! They were moving and not taking it with them so they gave it to us..pretty good timing! Its just swings, but will work until we can find a cheap one with a slide on craigslist

We saved the geotrax for last. Ella opened it and said, Daaaad..this is for you!

So Joe and the girls spent the rest of the day with the train set, and seeing how many ways they could set it up :)

First Christmas Party

We took the girls to the neighborhood Christmas party tonight..it said it was from 4-8, but when we got there at around 6:00, it was winding down...so we got a quick picture with Santa and let them decorate a picture frame then headed to playland since we missed the food...before we left for the party I took some pictures of the girls in front of the tree since they were dressed cute

These are really bad, we took a bunch that probably turned out really good, but the memory card was not in the camera ... So this is what we got. Oh well, there is always next week :)

Yesterday was our wards super saturday. I made a plate with vinyl stickers, it says something about families forever and has the temple. It looks really good in my kitchen :) After that I went with some friends to watch the new Harry Potter, I didn't think it was that great, really slow. but it was Harry Potter, so I liked it. So the girls had a daddy day..when I got home, around 6, the girls were both still in their pjs. Not that I don't have days where they wear pjs all day, I just thought it was funny :)

Thursday we took them to Waco to watch Disney Princesses on Ice. It was the only day we could go, and they only had a 7:30 showing..I should have known better to go that late when they go to bed at 8:00 ...but I think Ella had a good time even though she was really tired!

Last week we got carpet in our living room..we all LOVE it!
