Surprise Visit!

On Wednesday morning there was a little knock at my door, and when I answered it, it was my Mom and Dad! I sure was surprised! They came down to spend a long weekend with me while Joe is in Vegas for work training...

Donut Falls

We've been meaning to do this hike for awhile now. We finally decided to just go up tonight after work instead of trying to fit it in on a weekend. Its a really short hike, so we were able to hike up and back down before dark. Ella hiked the whole way by herself, she actually ran all the way back to the car..we had to keep reminding her to walk! (there were a lot of sharp rocks on the path and we didn't want another trip for stitches!)

6 months already!

We took Lily for her 6 month check up and shots today. We went back to our Dr. in Springville and i'm so glad we did. He is awesome! He said Lilys head was fine.. growing the same rate as the rest of her. She is in the 80 something percentil for weight, off the charts for height and 99% for head. She weighs 18lbs 4 oz and 29 inches (i think i dont remember exactly?) Like I said in prior posts, she is trying really hard to crawl. She will now get up on hands and knees and rock back and forth and then lunge forward over and over until she gets to what she is trying to reach. She loves teething cookies and corn cassorole baby food. She loves laughing at herself in the mirror, and watching Ella play. She gets really excited when she gets Ellas nuk, or blanket or pretty much anything that gets Ella excited when Lily has it! ha. She is a super happy baby!

Tonight we did family pictures! Its amazing how fast 2 hours goes when you are trying to get a bazillion pictures before it gets too dark! Here are some of my favorites, its soo hard to choose! I would put up a ton more, but its really late and my eyes won't stay open!

Lily is really trying to crawl. It makes her so mad when she can't get where she wants to be, or reach the toys she wants. She has been doing an inch worm type crawl for the past couple of weeks. Tonight she just started pushing up really high with her arms and then pushing off with her toes, in a push up position, its pretty funny to watch!

We bought her teething cookies today and she loves them!

Ella and George were having lots of fun splashing, and decided it was fun to splash the boy behind them...well he didn't think it was so fun, or maybe he did and wanted to play too, anyway..he aimed a big splash right at them! Poor George didn't like it very much, Ella was really worried because George was so sad!

Poor Lily had to sit in her car seat all night, but she kept herself entertained with her fingers and occasionally some toes!

We took an impromptu trip to Build a bear tonight...we drove to the mall in murray to go to gymboree to spend some gymbucks and they just happened to have a build a bear a few stores down..we went in just to look, but Ella found a horse (which they usually only sell online) so we decided to let her make one. I'm glad my cell phone has a camera!
