Sea World - Aquarium - Corpus Christi

Sea World gives 4 free tickets to military families every year. We didn't use ours last year and I decided we were going to use them this year!

We didn't tell the girls where we were going and they were guessing all these different places by building they saw on the way there..my favorite were two of lilys guesses..she saw a big white church and said Utah?  and then she saw this dome building and said an igloo? hehe, she is a funny girl!  I think our kids must be a little weird, they finally decided we were going to Lilys school and they were SO excited to be going to school..haha
We finally told them we were at Sea World when we were waiting in the line, and they had no idea what that was..ha, but they had a lot of fun!

Me, Ella, and Jack outside the gate

Christmas at Sea World San Antonio
Waiting in line for the Shamu roller coaster..they were so scared on that ride all I could do was laugh.i'm such a nice mom!

Waiting for the Sesame street show to start

Squishin pennies..check out the stroller I got for free the day before we came..good thing too because I had just sold my double stroller!! I don't really like this one, I want something shorter..but it was awesome for our little get away!  Soon after this my battery died :(  I have a bunch of pics on Joes cell I just need to download them

After walking around Sea World for 9 hours, Joe told me he wanted to keep driving and head to the coast..I was thinking...oh boy..LOL! We didn't have anything! (luckily the camera charger was in the car or I would have said absolutely NOT! haha) But we drove the 2 hours and got into Corpus Christi just after midnight to the worst fog I have seen in a LONG time..you could hardly see the car in front of you! It was really scary...but we made it safely to our hotel :)
Jack sleeps like his Momma!

They had Texas shaped waffles for breakfast

What?! We have to do that all over again? LOL..i'm sure this is what my face looked like when Joe told me he wanted to keep going

Jack is such a happy baby!

Funny story..okay not so funny...We got to the beach, and let the girls play in the sand and touch their toes in the water and collect sea shells...as we were leaving the beach we see this sign that says WARNING and basically that the water is toxic..lovely..we sanitized everyone and loaded back into the car! So far no one is sick....

Jack was not a fan

We found a really cool shell..but it still had something living in it :)

We took a long lunch break at BK trying to decide what we want to do..we were either going to do a few tourist things in the area or head back to san antonio to visit the alamo. We decided we probably would not come back to Corpus so we headed to the aquarium..funny side note while we were eating  Ella asked me if hamburgers grow on trees! haha..they have been learning about farms at school, so we talked about where each part of the hamburger came from. :)

The dolphins were really neat. We don't have those at the aquarium at home, so it was neat to see them

Joe, Jack, and Lily getting eaten by a giant crab!

The stingrays were crazy..trying to jump out of the water, they must have thought we had food :)

My silly girls

You can't really see us, but we are on that bridge and behind us is the USS Lexington...that dang fog was rolling in!

Here is a better shot of the USS Lexington

taking a break

AHHH

Lily standing on a stingray

Just after this was taken, Ella just about tossed Jack to get away from a giant fish that swam up beside her!

Wow, that looks like so much fun. 9 hours at sea world! Sounds really tiring! I love the new picture at the top of your blog.
