I get updates almost everyday about what his company is doing, i'm not sure how I will keep this updated, but for now here is what I have so far..Some of these have updates for a few companies in one, he's in B CO...
26 JAN: UPDATE: B CO, after PT this morning, they went right back into Tactical Combat Casualty Care training in the classroom. Today the Bulldogs will learn how to perform CPR (very important), treat a casualty for hot or cold weather injuries, and how to administer first aid for a nerve agent casualty (to name a few). Your... Soldier is learning vaulable life saving techniques!
25 JAN: B Company began the week with an Army Physical Fitness Test this morning. After breakfast they will start Tactical Combat Casualty Care training today (First Aid). Training for today includes: evaluating a casualty, splintting a suspected fracture, managing the airway, and performing Tactical Combat Casualty movement.
22 JAN: Everyone is back at the barracks after another busy day! A Co conducted their first Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) this morning. The rest of the day was spent work on Rifle MArksmanship fundamentals. B Co started the day at the "Fit-to-Win" obstacle course and then conducted NBC training and the gas chamber in the afternoon.
21 JAN: B Co is conducting Basic Rifle Marksmanship introductory training in the company classrooms as they get ready to go to the rifle ranges next week. C Co begins their First Training a.k.a. Tactical Combat Casualty Care. The Soldiers will learn how to control bleeding, apply dressings and tourniquets, how to manage an a...irway, how to splint a fracture and how to conduct casualty evacuation.
TUES, 19 JAN: A Co is conducting "drill and ceremony" instruction where the Soldiers learn how to march and move. In the afternoon they are beginning Basic Rifle Marksmanship instruction with the 5 fundamentals and remedial action. B Co is conducting class room and local area Land Navigation training all day.
16 JAN: Combat Training never takes a weekend off. It's a busy SAT. Everyone did PT this morning. Next, A Co is conducting hand-to-hand combat training. In the Army this is known as Modern Army Combatives a.k.a "MAC" to the Soldiers. A Co is also continuing to learn "drill and ceremony" (marching, movements, drills, ...e...tc.) B Co is also conducting MAC and some more classroom training.
15 JAN: Families and Friends: All of your Soldiers are doing very well. A Company is conducting Victory Tower today (rapelling); B Co is conducting classroom instruction; C Co conducting their PT test this a.m. and is now learning how to march and handle their weapon. D Co is conducting classroom training on the Army Values.
