Lily loves cantaloupe! We ate dinner with the neighbors tonight and they had a fruit tray, we let Lily chew on a slice and she was happy the whole time!

Draper Days Parade

Our little set up..our canopy is broken so Joe just took our tent poles and then put the rain cover on the poles..it worked pretty good! The Bishop and his family were sitting next to us so they sat in the shade with us for awhile. Ella loved having another little kid to watch the parade with!

Ella is definitely my child..she doesn't do so well in the heat! She lasted for about 3/4ths of the parade before we had to pack up and head out!
I got a hat at the parade and it came with a free 6 month family
membership to a gym so i'm kinda excited to check that out!

Ella and the bishops grand daughter were kinda freaked out by this tin man..he came up and said, come here little girl, and they ran away! ha He pushed a button or something and smoke came out of his hat..he thought he was pretty snazzy..

Ella was doing the funniest pose, she was trying to be like the cheerleaders, unfortunately Joe was not as fast as her, but this pose was still pretty cute!

The parade started at 9, and I woke up at 8:55..so I just had to throw on my hat and glasses and call it good!

A few days ago we painted. Ella came in with rocks and wanted to paint them, so I thought, why not..and we painted rocks!

The other day Ella napped at like 8, yeah I know..so she was up WAY late...she put on her Cinderella costume and danced around the living room until the late show was over...

Tonight we walked over to Draper Days in the park

They had a train ride

And Ella got to watch horses eat

She loves horses!

And her favorite part..She got to ride a horse!

Ella was SO happy!

Demolition Derby

We went to the Riverton demolition derby tonight..It was the first time we've ever been to one and it was a lot of fun!

This little girl was AMAZING! She sat in her car seat the whole 2.5 hours and didn't complain once! Wow is all I can say...haha

Ella also did great, she really liked watching the cars...

The drivers ranged in age from 16 to 50 and they all drove equally as crazy...

I didn't take a lot of pictures of the cars because, well, they all looked about the same..cars smashing cars, but you get the picture. It was really fun and we are already planning on going to another one in August in Spanish Fork


Here's a video Joe took. This is from the very first round of cars...If you know me, you know I don't like car accidents so this probably doesn't seem like an activity I would enjoy watching.. But after the first few min its all just fun and I didn't really think of it as car wrecks anymore! haha Although I was still pretty nervous for the drivers..
